Information Tribal Museum of Silvassa

Silvassa is known as a home land of many tribes, and henceforth Tribal Museum at Silvassa constructed to safeguard and represent the rich heritage of tribal culture and society in its untouched form.

The folkloric tribal traditions and legacy of Silvassa is preserved in this museum. The entrance to the museum is stylishly, its made of handmade garlands or torans. On demonstrate are a good set of masks, musical equipment, fishing equipment and life-size sculptures.

The mud models in the museum also add to the attraction. The walls of the museum are decked with bows, daggers, spears, etc used by the tribes. Apart from ancient artifacts, there are many photographs of tribal festivals and rituals.
