Wankander Palace, Wankaner was designed and built by the last monarch of the area, Maharana Raj Shri Amarsinhji, in the beginning of the 20th century. This palace was designed and constructed by Amarsinhji to be a lookout over the Wankaner Town. Covering an area of approximately 225 acres, this palace houses a state guest-house that is known as Chandra Bhavan.
The palace design is a combination of different architectural styles. The palace has a Mughal ground, Victorian style windows with stained glass, Gothic arches and a large Middle Dutch way roof. The city is regularly visited by people for its attractive beauty and travelling about 57 kms from Rajkot is the town of Wankaner.
