Surat BRTS Phase 2 from VR Mall to Sarthana Route Ready to Inaugurate - March 2015 News

Surat BRTS Phase 2 development is about to complete. Surat BRTS has been operation since 26 January 2014. BRTS is active all big cities of Gujarat state and India which makes traffic problem much better.

Surat BRTS Phase 2 development is about to complete. BRTS route from VR Mall to Sarthana. The BRTS bus stop finishing work is going on and as per reports, the VR Mall to Sarthana route will be inaugurated till the end of March month.

VR Mall to Sarthana route is 22 KM long which will be covered in around 35 minutes by BRTS bus. There will be 36 buses on this 22 KM long route so we can conclude that passenger will get one BRTS bus at one Km of distance.

Before BRTS routes, the city bus service was active but after completion of BRTS Phase, the BRTS and city bus service will work together. The new BRTS route will clear more traffic and traffic problem become lighter.

Surat BRTS Phase 2 is having 9 corridors. The BRTS Phase 1 had 2 corridors. The phase 1 is 29.9 Km. when BRTS service was started, the government has given free ride to passenger for the 1st month of service.

"S-Connect" Integrated bus system will start soon which will connect Surat BRTS & Surat city bus together with one ticket through journey from Surat Railway Station to Sachin GIDC/ Sachin Gam.
