In the segment of ‘The best of Sugam Sangeet’, a great young sufi singer and tabla player from Gujarat named ‘Alap Desai’ will perform a musical performance with Mirande, Varenyam and Parth. This younger talent is comes from the illustrious musical family. Alap Desai has learned singing from his parents, Ashit Desai and Hema Desai.  He began his Tabla training under the tutelage of Shri Datta Yende. He has multitalented personality by composing, arranging, tabla playing and singing.

Alap Desai is a composer, vocalist, musician and music director of international renown. He is well-known for rich voice with soulful light classical renderings. Alap Desai gets an extended career by appearing concerts, film, television and radio. With his pure classically trained Indian vocal technique and having knowledge in the field of theatre, ballets, television and Gujarati music, he now presents his Debut Hindi Ghazal Album ‘Pehchaan’ for his fans/litsners.
