Patidar Rally in Ahmedabad 2015 - Patidar Anamat Andolan Ahmedabad on 25 August
Patidar Samaj / Community is a caste found primarily in the state of Gujarat, India carried out public demonstrations across Indian state of Gujarat seeking Other Backward Class (The OBC status is an affirmative action which provides reserved quotas in education and government jobs).
Starting July 2015, the people / youth of Patidar community do the public demonstrations named Patidar Anamat Andolan Rally across the major cities of Gujarat including Surat, Rajkot, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Mehsana etc… The Patel groups have appeared united in the rally with the support of Sardar Patel Sevadal (an organisation for community service).
On next Tuesday, 25th August 2015, the mega rally of Patidar Samaj will be held in Ahmedabad to press for OBC status. Usually, the agitation mainly conducted under the support of Sardar Patel Sevadal Mehsana, led by Lalji Patel, or Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti, led by Hardik Patel. But, in the Ahmedabad city, new groups will be including named Patidar Aarakshan Samiti and Patidar Sankalan Samiti.

After get the permission from the State Government, the leaders of the Patidar (Patel) quota movement is determined that they will hold a rally on the Sabarmati riverfront in Ahmedabad on August 25. The route has been declared on the official site of the Patidar samaj and shared / buzz on social media. The leaders have been claiming that the August 25 rally will be the biggest ever the community has organized in quest of its demand OBC status and around 40 lakh Patidars will participate in the rally.
