Shyamal & Bhumika’s passion for textiles and fashion led her to study fashion design at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT).
A dream to create their own label led them to establish SHYAMAL & BHUMIKA. After setting up the label, Shyamal left for London to research fashion & took up a few courses at the Central St.Martins College of Art & Design. He thereafter researched Italian Design at colleges in Milan.
- Awarded Outstanding Achiever Award by the Gujarat Chamber Of Commerce & Industry (2012)
- Awarded for social contribution to Gujarat Cancer Society by the Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi (2011)
- Nominated for Best Indian Wear at the Marie Claire Fashion Awards (2008)
