Shrimad Bhagvat Gyan Yagna Saptah in all the prisons of Gujarat. | ||
The jurisprudence and stalwarts of law emphasis basic two ingredients for the commitment of the crime i.e. mens-ria and actus-ria. Mens-ria is the guilty mind and actus-ria means doing prohibited act or not performing the legal duties. Thus, in brief, it can be said that behind every offence, the guilty mind is a vital force motivating the person to commit the crime. Moreover, prisons are well-known breeding centers of prisoners which trains, develops, educates, nourishes the crime and criminal abilities in accused. A young accused involved with minor offence becomes a hardcore criminal when being trained by other senior criminals in the prison. But, to the great surprise, a prison welfare programmes and reform programmes introduced by Mr.P.C. Thakur, I.P.S.,Addl. D.G. of Prisons, is positive and creative thoughts and leadership has provided new horizons of hope for the prisoners of Gujarat. In prison, the meditation programme, educational programme, training programmes, computer training programmes, schools for children staying with mother inmates, music training programmes, etc. have been started and are operated successfully. A cultural and religious programmes also become the part of prison life. To eradicate the guilty mind i.e. mens-ria from the minds’ of prisoners’and to wash out their sins in holy Gyan Yagna of Shrimad Bhagvat Saptah. A planning for organizing Bhagvat Saptah (a religious discourse of one week, which was availed by King Parikshit – the grand son of Arjun the warrior of Mahabharat to overcome the sins committed by him and to save himself from immature death and to save the self from the curse of a holy Brahmin Guru) in all the 24 prisons of Gujarat is being done because of the warm and wealthy financial support of Shri Babubhai Desai (Maktupurwala and M.L.A. from Kankrej, Banaskantha), the well known donor for religious and social activities. For the celebration of Swarnim Gujarat year, Shrimad Bhagvat Saptah will be commenced with the blessings of religious Guru Shri Rameshbhai Oza and would be narrated by Premdas Bapu, Dudhrej (Vadvala Dham) daily for seven days from 11.30 a.m. to 3.30 p.m., in which more than 1500 female and male inmates will take benefit of the same. The celebration of felicitation of Shreemad Bhagvat Saptah would be done on 13/1/2011. The Mahaprasad and Mahabhojan for 5000 persons will be arranged on the last day. This is the probably the greatest event in the history of Indian prisons for the welfare and self reformation of the soul is organized by a good donor in co - operation with a Human Rights N.G.O. – Shree Yogkshem Foundation for Human Dignity in all the prisons of Gujarat within next month.
