The term ‘Heritage’ has changed considerably in recent decades. Today, cultural heritage cover more than just memorial and collections of objects, Heritage Film Festival Ahmedabad 2013 also includes living traditions inherited from our relatives and passed on to our children, such as performing arts, social practices, rituals, festivals, knowledge and practices regarding the natural world, and particular skills to produce traditional crafts. World Heritage Week, celebrated in Ahmedabad since 1996, is an initiative to bring together many unique efforts that connect people to their past.
Aim of Heritage Film Festival in Ahmedabad
In order to preserve India’s finest cultural legacies, aadhar is organizing The Heritage Film Festival in Ahmedabad to explore our glorious heritage through audio-visual media. The theme of the second Heritage Film Festival in the year 2013 is ‘VISUAL NARRATIVE ARTS & HANDICRAFT’ of India.

This is a unique Endeavour aimed at generating enthusiasm for our glorious artistic heritage and compliments our other awareness projects relating to Traditional Arts and Crafts of India. In the coming years, Heritage Film Festival plan to cover various other aspects and themes related to India’s rich cultural heritage.
The Heritage Film Festival Ahmedabad 2013 will happen during the World Heritage Week from 19 to 25 November 2013. We are planning to keep the screening of the Juried films during 19 to 25 November 2013 at various Venues in Ahmedabad.
