Shahrukh Khan will be seen playing the role of a bootlegger while Farhan Akhtar plays the role of a police officer in the Raees film. This is first time for Shahrukh Khan and Farhan Akhtar to share the screen space.

Shahrukh Khan and Farhan Akhtar worked together for the remake version of Don and its sequel Don 2 where Farhan was involved in the project as a producer while SRK played the main lead.
The Raees Film will be shooting mostly in Ahmadabad while some shoot will take place in Saurasthra. The shooting starts in July next year and it are scheduled to release in 2015.
