Nehru Gate in Morbi Gujarat
Recently, Nehru Gate is famous gate in Morbi Gujarat. In 1925 it was inaugurated by Sir Lloyd, British Governor of Bombay, and was named ‘Llyod Gate’. After freedom, it was renamed ‘Nehru Gate’ after India’s first Prime Minister.
Morbi Nehru Gate is oldest gate. In the past it was the central gate of the Morvi kingdom so it is also famous as ‘Nagar Darwaza’ or the Gateway to the town. The Nehru Gate is made out of stone using elements of Rajput architecture with central clock tower.

After the Earthquake most of it was damaged badly. But in 2007, it was rebuilt by the Morbi Municipality under the supervision of Hemen Sanghavi and his intern Arpan Raval. It was a Princely State ruled by Jadeja clan of Rajputs until Indian independence in 1947.
