3rd International Kite Festival in Dubai 2014
Internatinal Kite Festival in Dubai. After the huge success of the 1st and the 2nd edition of the International Kite Fiesta, Dubai, which poured in crowds of more than 10,000 Kite Flying Enthusiasts, Country Club & Radio Mirchi presents the 3rd Edition, which is going to be held on the 17th of January, 2014, at the Dubai Outlet Mall on Dubai-Al Ain Road.
With vibrant colors bursting into the Dubai skyline, as always, it promises to be an amazing outdoor skill for friends and families, and a royal treat for the eyes. It will showcase kites of all sizes, shapes and colors and even some collective theme-based kites flown by several of the best kite flyers from around the world.
From India, Tamquest Entertainment is flying in the Kite Life Foundation Kerala, Team Mangalore, High Flyers Belgaum and Royal Kite Flyers Club Ahmedabad. There are teams from Sri Lanka and Kuwait - the Buahmad Kite Team - who will be displaying their kite-flying skills. The event is held at a time when the Indian state of Gujarat hosts Uttarayan, the International Kite Festival, during the harvest season of Makar Sankranti.

Kite-flying has been a trend & tradition in many other Asian countries like Pakistan, Afghanistan and China with the latter boasting of the largest kite museum in the world. At the event, visitors can ‘Buy and Fly’ kites, assuming various forms and shapes, and get into a kite-flying spree themselves. For those who are careful of their flying skills, international experts will be around to guide them and get their kites up high. Moreover, they will also hold a unique session on the fun sport to talk about kite works and to give useful tips among others.
The first hundred kids to register will be lucky to be section of the kite-building workshop where all materials and instructions will be provided for free. The tiny tots will can make their way to the massive Kids Play Area which boasts of Bouncing Castle, Camel rider and Play riders to name a few.
There are kites to be won in prizes as well when the International Kite Fiesta 2014 gets underway this weekend. A mini zoo by Posh Paws, Dubai, will add extra flavour to this kite carnival.Adding to the festive environment will be DJs Vimal and Alex Light dishing out some exciting beats and uplifting tunes to get you in the mood. No event is complete without sustaining food and the food court set up on this motive promises you a wide variety of delicacies.
