This is “ Khuhboo of Saputara Monsoon Festival 2012 “. The monsoon rains add to the magic of Saputara. Gujarat Tourism plans to showcase this getaway monsoon destination to the nearby cities like Nagpur, Pune, Mumbai, Nasik in Maharashtra.

Gujarat has only one Hill station, Saputara, which attracts not only Gujarati tourists but also from other States. Realizing the potential of the verdant natural beauty at Saputara, Tourism Corporation of Gujarat Ltd (TCGL) has promoted this hill station and established a sound tourism infrastructure.

Saputara is one of the main destinations being promoted by Gujarat Tourism campaign. After Amitabh Bachchan became the brand ambassador of State Tourism Department, the tourist inflow in Gujarat has increased by leaps and bounds.

The Saputara Monsoon Festival will be a month long event where variety of activities/attractions will be on offer for the tourists. There will be Some of the events to be held as a part of the monsoon festival include water sports, adventurous activities, laser show, photography exhibition, heritage walk, cultural evenings, food festival, contests, etc. This Monsoon Festival 2012 will attract lots of NRIs and NRGs to visit their vatan Gujarat.

Saputara Hill Station Monson Festival 2012 the twenty nine days period (August 4 to September 1, 2012) a number of 27,327 tourists stayed at these accommodation units. A Craft and Food Bazaar will be setup at the Boat House Ground.

Laser Shows will be a part of the program as also some entertaining games like Tug of War, Musical Chair, Photo Corner, etc. Cultural Programs have also been planned to raise understanding about the tribal culture and lifestyle of the Dangi people.
