Aamir Khan Appointed as Election Campaign Icon of Election Commission of India
The Election Commission has decided to opt for Bollywood Star Aamir Khan as its icon who can educate people about the importance of voting and choosing the right candidates in the forthcoming general elections.
Aamir Khan will contribute in EC’s voter awareness initiatives for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. He is expected to feature in print and audio-visual campaigns aimed at educating people about the importance of choosing the right candidates.
The Election Commission is likely to sign up film star and now host of popular TV show 'Satyamev Jayate', Aamir Khan, as its national icon. He will be a division of EC's voter awareness initiatives for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections 2014.
The Election Commission has signed up leading Bollywood actor Aamir Khan as its `National Icon` in the run-up to 2014 Lok Sabha polls. Though EC had approached Aamir Khan earlier this year, it is only now that the conditions of his connection as a brand ambassador could be finalized. EC is likely to sign up him as its brand ambassador next week.
