Narmada River is located by Amarkantak and Madhya Pradesh. British rule the Narmada River was called Narbada or Nerbudda. The river is named as the Nammadus. Narmada is a Sanskrit word stand for “the Give of Pleasure”. The Narmada River is also worshipped as mother goddess by Narmadeeya Brahmins.
