Gujarati Food Khandvi - Gujarati Khandvi Chutney Making Details
Khandvi is a popular snack item from the state of Gujarat, India. It’s not only easy to make but healthy as well because it just involves steaming gram flour and butter milk and does not require any other multifaceted cooking method. How to Make Khandvi at Home
Take gram flour, buttermilk, turmeric powder and salt in a big bowl. Mix properly and make soft batter using hand mixer. Grease large plate or back side of thali with cooking oil and keep away. Pour batter into a heavy bottomed pan or kadai and cook on low burn. Keep moving continually to avoid lump shape.
Cook until mixture becomes thick and does not taste uncooked. It will take approx 8 minutes. Transfer a large serving of batter over formerly greased plate. Spread batter in thin coating with the help of back of flat spoon. Let it cool for 3-4 minutes. Once cooled, place instantly cuts using knife and make 2″ wide flooring.
Carefully roll each strip into roll and move them to a part dish. Heat 2 tablespoons cooking oil in a small tempering pot. Sauté mustard seeds, cumin seeds, curry leaves and green chillies. Add sesame seeds only in the end when sauté is prepared. Transfer prepared flavor over khandvi arranged in a serving plate. Shake over frayed coconut and chopped coriander leaves. Serve with spoonful of green coriander chutney or garlic chutney and khajur chutney.
