The Idol is made of Soil, Plastic, Plaster of Paris and now a day there are even Eco Friendly Ganesh Idol is also available. Idols are available in small to large sizes.

Ganesh Chaturthi Aarti

In Ganesh Chaturthi Festival Aarti is done at Evening and Morning. Pooja with all Pooja Particles is done and Prasad of Modak is placed before Lord Ganesh. Then after Aarti songs are sung before Lord Ganesh Murti or Photo.

Ganesh Chaturthi Visarjan / Ganesh Chaturthi Anant Chaturdashi

At Ganesh Visarjan day Idol of Lord Ganesh is placed in sea. On Ganesh Visarjan day the idol of Ganesha is immersed in water body, usually in lakes, rivers, sea or ponds after a large procession (sarghas).

On way to Sea, with Band - Vaja and Gulaal Lord Ganesh is immersed. The Ganeshotsav, the festivity of Ganesh Chaturthi, ends after 10 days on Anant Chaturdashi which is also known as Ganesh Visarjan day. On Anant Chaturdashi, devotees immerse idol of Lord Ganesh in water body after a gala street procession.

Ganesh Chaturthi Pooja

Ganesh Pooja is preferred during Madhyahana in Ganesh Chaturthi as it is believed that Lord Ganesh was born during Madhyahana Kaal. Again Madhyahana Kaal is equivalent to mid day according to Hindu Religion.
