Heavy rains in Madhya Pradesh have water flowing into the famous “Sardar Sarovar Narmada Dam” since early morning of 9th September, 2014 rising to 121.25mtrs. (125.28 Metres. noted on late evening of 8th September 2014).

However, Sardar Sarovar Dam Overflowing 2014 is a blessing for Gujarat as there is no rainfall in most places in the state and this overflow will allow water to reach these places.

Sardar Sarovar Narmada Dam located at Kevadia boasts of erecting an iconic statue of 182 meters paying a tribute to the Iron Man of India Sardar Vallabhai Patel will get a picturesque backdrop and view thanks to good rainfall which will be highly beneficial for eco-tourism and regional development.  It is definitely a win-win situation for the state of Gujarat to have the Sardar Sarovar Narmada Dam overflowing with water. It is rightly said “Calamities come in disguise with Blessings – sometimes” -  great Agricultural Development.
