Finally the 10 days festival of Ganesh Utsav is completed and on last day, this monday our Rajkotians say Good Bye to bappa with heavy heart. The Muhurat for Visarjan was after 12 PM so after that approx. 6940 number of Bappa’s idols was in Visarjan. The devotees had also arranged DJ sound for the Visarjan Yatra.  The big idols were carried in trucks whereas the small idols were taken by car.

The Devotees groups were going through the city area with DJ sound but having some sorrow in heart. The people were dancing and singing and enjoying last some moments with Ganpati bappa and requesting him to come next year earlier. So many people could not save their life during Visarjan as someone got stuck into water or due to sinking.

The Visarjan was going on up to 9.40 PM approx. the rescue team was there at every Visarjan place to manage Idol’s Visarjan and to save someone if any person got sink. The Visarjan had taken place at Aaji dam, Nyari dam, Hanumandhara, Khokhaldal River and river near to Munjka village. Up to evening, the areas like Kalawad road, University road, Yagnik road, middle Rajkot, Ranchhodnagar and Champaknagar were become colorful due to Abil-Gulal.

This festival ends and again streets, roads become silent otherwise during these 10 days of festival, people were used to play Ganpati bappa’s devotional songs on loud speakers. Now we have to wait till next year’s 17th September for this festival.
