Photo in moj ( written in gujarati “Fota ni moj”) is a photography competition for non-professional photographers. It is first of its kind competition and first time It was held in Rajkot in 2013. The title name Fota Ni Moj is a gujarati word which means having a fun with photography. Many people are having a hobby of photography and some of them are having a skill to capture very good photos so this competition brings out new talents in photography.

Last year when the first time competition was held, the theme was Rajkot-the way you see. There is no age bar for this competition. Any interested person can register his entry in the Fota ni moj competition with mobile captured photo or camera captured. The organizers got very good response from Rajkot people last year. They have given very exciting winning prizes to the winners like Nikon DSLR camera to the 1st winner, Rs 10000 to 2nd winner and photography trip to 3rd positioned 10 persons.
In 2014, they have given 5 themes for photo entry- My Rajkot, Selfie, Festival, Nature and Industry. The workshop for participant was held on last Saturday. After completion of registration and photos submission, the judges’ panel selects top 100 entries from both Mobile and professional camera photos. At the winning prize distribution function, they are arranging exhibition of top 100 entries. Even they are also making one photo book named “Coffee Table” of selected 100 entries.
