Mohanbhai Kundariya is declared as New Minister of State for Agriculture in India - Nov 2014

Mohanbhai Kundariya, the parliament member from Rajkot is selected in Central Government as Minister of State. In the first cabinet expansion exercise after assuming power, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inducted 21 ministers into his council on Sunday in a move that is likely to give a big push to Bihar and Uttar Pradesh - with an eye on elections.

Shri Mohanbhai Kundaria has sworn in as minister of state with 16 others at Rashtrapati Bhavan. There are many factors are said to behind the selection of Mohanbhai Kundariya. As per sources, the main reason was the recent election of Rajkot. During that election, Mohanbhai Kundaria has asked BJP high commands to give ticket to any kadva patidar member but it was given to Vijay Rupani. So the local BJP people were not so happy so at that time, Mohanbhai Kundaria was offered Ministry.

To win again Patel community’s hearts and appreciate Mohanbhai’s work in VIjaybhai Rupani’s win, the Minister of state charge is given to Mohanbhai Kundariya, as said by political sources.  He is a minister for agriculture at state level.
