Amitabh Bachchan will be doing the commentary alongside stalwarts of the cricket-commentary world Harsh Bhogle and Kapil Dev. This is part of integration between broadcaster Star Sports and the makers of Big B's forthcoming film "Shamitabh".
Amitabh Bachchan who is 72, is a self confessed cricket fan like millions in India, is excited to commentate in the crucial contest between the arch-rivals on February 15, which falls a week after the R Balki-directed film releases worldwide on February 6.
India Pakistan match is always high voltage and like life’s last win. Defending champions India have never lost to Pakistan in an ICC World Cup event but any clash between the two sides is a battle of nerves and Amitabh admits that his loyalties will stay intact in the commentary box.
Amitabh Bachchan expressed excitement about this new venture as: “This country’s emotions are ruled by two things — cricket and cinema. For me, it’s an exciting time on both fronts. My movie is releasing on February 6 and then, I have the privilege of making my commentary debut.”
