Amazon to Sell Holiday Packages Online for Selected Destinations from June 2015

Amazon is an America based Electronics commerce company. It is the largest internet based retailer in US.  The world’s no.1 Online Ecommerce Company Amazon is now entering tourism segment. Amazon will sell holiday packages online in USA.  So now people will have one more option for their holiday planning.

Before Amazon, there are many key players in the holiday package providers list like Trivago, MakeMyTIrp, Yatra, Cleartrip, Goibibo and more. So now it will be interesting to see what Amazon can offer special things in their holiday package. As per Amazon Holiday Package feature, you just need to plan your destinations for holiday; the Amazon will complete your holiday trip with complete planning. For that Amazon will tie up with tourist destination companies and they will provide tourist spots photos and detailed description to the holiday package buyer.

At the basic level, Amazon is planning to start selling of Holiday packages only in USA and after that they will expand their holiday package feature in other countries. As part of the local businesses section of the Amazon site, it offers deals on hotels and getaways close to three metro areas: Los Angeles, New York and Seattle.

While Amazon.com has been offering travel deals since 2012, these were mainly flash deals with discounted rates. These hotels now offer rooms on Amazon at their standard rates, as well as deal packages and discounts. Amazon has started with selling of books online and after that they have entered in selling market of almost all segments.

Amazon.com has launched country wise websites.  Amazon is selling DVDs, VHSs, CDs, video and MP3 downloads/streaming, software, video games, electronics, apparel, furniture, food, toys, and jewelry, produces consumer electronics - notably, Amazon Kindle e-book readers, Fire tablets, Fire TV and Fire Phone - and is a major provider of cloud computing services. Amazon also offers international shipping to certain other countries for some of its products.

So now it is time to watch, how much Amazon can get succeed in selling holiday packages as there are many well settled holiday planners in the market.
