Google make a Company Alphabet, Google’s New CEO Sundar Pichai
Heard the latest!, A Surprise announcement from the world’s most used web browser ‘Google’. Yes, Google co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin introduce Google’s third CEO an Indian Sundar Pichai on 10 August 2015, who was Product Chief at Google Inc before. Now he will head up Google, which will be a subsidiary to a new company called Alphabet. With the Google’s newly unveiled corporate structure, Larry Page introduces a holding Company Alphabet Inc.
Alphabet's portfolio will spread through a wide spectrum of industries including technology, the life sciences, investment capital, and research. Some of its subsidiaries will include Google Inc., Calico, Google Ventures, Google Capital, Google X, and Nest Labs. So, the current CEO Larry Page chooses Sundar Pichai as the future CEO of Google and he will become a CEO of Parent Company Alphabet. Sundar Pichai was born in Tamilnadu and complete graduation from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur in Metallurgical Engineering stream. After he moved to us for further Master studies in 1993. He joined Google in 2004 (the time when Gmail launched) and was associated with the Google from 11 years.
Sundar Pichai oversees and involved as a most responsible person in many major projects of Google including Google Chrome, new video codec VP8, added Android to the Google products etc… He was being appointed Product Chief by current CEO Larry Page on 24 October 2014, and now he will step up with the new position, CEO of Google.
Alphabet will be created to restructure Google by moving subsidiaries from Google to Alphabet, narrowing Google's scope. The company will consist of Google Inc., Nest Labs and Calico, as well as other businesses including Google X, Google Capital and Google Ventures. Google Inc, as Alphabet's largest subsidiary was announced by Alphabet Inc. Google CEO Larry Page on Google's official blog.
