Decorative Bullet Bike in Traditional Look - Dress Competition Winner Photos at Tarnetar Fair Gujarat
Have you ever heard about the tarnetar fair?! Yes, it’s a celebration of ethnic Gujarat’s folk-dance, music, costumes and arts. Tarnetar is a village in the Surendranagar district of the state of Gujarat, India. It is situated near the city of Thangadh, and a place where Draupadi's swayamvara was arranged in a Mahabharata.
It’s also called a Trinetreshwar Mahadev Mela, which is held near the Trinetreshwar Mahadev temple. His temple of tarnetar is located 65 Km from Surendranagar District Head Quarter in South-West direction. The nearest national airport is 90 kilometers (56 mi) away at Rajkot, and the nearest international airport is at Ahmedabad, 200 kilometers (120 mi) away. Gujarat Tourism organized traditional dress competition, were held from 8th to 11th September 2013. In the pics, it shows traditional material covered his bullet beautifully. Each and every small part of Bullet is smartly decorated with traditional clothes. Peacock put at the front side of the decorative bullet adds a special attraction to its new look. The bullet owner, Ankit Parmar is also looked in traditional wear to make a special appearance to the competition. His Paghdi, traditional mojdi and embroidery jacket make him look in a festival mood. Embroidery done on bullet cover is just amazing and cant eyes off to see the bullet.
At Tarnetar, there is a holy ancient temple believed to be constructed during the Mahabharata times by pandavas. There is also a kund situated near temple in ‘U; shape called ‘Papnashi’. People are always taking bath in this kund before going for the darshan. Tarnetar fair is organized in the bright half shukla paksha of bhadrpad for three days. The main attractions of the fair are raas, Singing bhajans, Dohas, village games, artistic imagination and decorating carts. This year it will be on 17th Sep to 19th Sep 2015.
