BAPS (Bochasanwasi Shri Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha) is a religious and civil association within the Swaminarayan branch of Hindu religion.  This organization established on 5 June 1907 by Shastriji Maharaj. The followers believes that the spiritual guidance by Akshar (Gunatit Guru) who is said to be in immediacy to Swaminarayan and with the living Guru, offer pure worship to swaminarayan. After Gunatitanand Swami, the position of living Guru is succeded by Bhagatji Maharaj, Shastriji Maharaj and then Yogiji Maharaj. And at current days, spiritual leader of BAPS is Pramukh Swami Maharaj.
