Pushkar Fair held every year in Pushkar town in the Ajmer district, Rajasthan. This year celebration of Pushkar Mela Rajasthan starts from 18 November to 25 November, 2015. Pushkar Mela starts from Kartik ekadashi to Kartik Poornima, the full moon day of Kartik in Hindu calendar. One of the largest cattle fairs in the country is the Pushkar Fair.
Every year Pushkar Fair is celebrated with great vigor by the locals of Rajasthan and this year also it will be celebrated at a big level. People come to enjoy this five day celebration from all over World. In Pushkar Festival 2015 there will be stalls of tattoo, ornaments, garments, footwear, artifacts, clothes, Rajasthani food stall, jewelry of silver and bead necklace, patchwork, printed textiles stall etc things to see and enjoy.
People enjoy camel ride in Pushkar and in Pushkar fair camel are decorated with jewellery of silver & beads and silver bells and bangles around their ankles that jangle when they walk. There is a ritual of piercing camel’s nose. The owner of the camel decorates it camel very perfectly to win the prize.
