Prime Minister Narendra Modi was in 2 day-visit of Malaysia and he was addresses about 15,000 Indians in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 22nd November, Sunday. In his Malaysia tour, Mr. Modi was interacted with Malaysia's Indian community in Kuala Lumpur.
Indian PM Modi spoke on need for closer economic cooperation, mitigating climate change & menace of terrorism at 10th East Asia Summit. In addition, he announces a grant of $1 million to the India-students Trust Fund for financial assistance to Malay-Indian students. In his speech at malaysia also addressing Indian people stay in Malaysia that they are the living bonds of India-Malaysia friendship.
People from Indian community were in full energic mood to welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi when he arrives for the event in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Sunday. Mr. Modi opened his speech and greeted the Indian diaspora with saying 'Vanakkam’ in Tamil and ended his speech with 'Namaste.' at Kaula Lumpur Malaysia as among the cheering audience, a majority were third generation Tamil-Malaysians. Ethnic Indians form 8 per cent of Malaysia’s population and are mostly Tamils. In his 45-minute address at the Malaysia International Exhibition and Convention Centre, he was focusing on strategic political, economic and security concerns in the region.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi speaking at the ASEAN Business and Investment Summit on Saturday, he said government actions in the past 18 months have led to bringing down inflation while at the same time leading to higher GDP growth and foreign investment. Calling India and ASEAN natural partners, Mr. Modi said ASEAN’s ten member countries form an economic powerhouse and have emerged as one of the largest economic zones in the world. |
