The above given phrase is of Maa Ambe’s Aarti. The gujarati people are mostly aware about this Aarti and many of them are able to sing this complete Aarti. The Navratri is a nine day long Hindu festival but now celebrated by all communities. Each day is dedicated to Maa Durga’s to different forms. All through the nine days, the devotees would chant mantras, sing songs and bhajans in the praise of the deity. Fasting on Navratri is considered fortunate. To celebrate the festival, a number of pujas are conducted all through the nine days.
Every day garba playing is starting only after performing Aarti. Aarti is an important aspect for pooja vidhi in Hindu rituals. It is said that no pooja is said to be complete without Aarti. The devotees are feeling blessed during the Aarti time. A Navratri Aarti is also followed by another devotional song “Vishwambhari Stuti”. For Navratri Aarti, the pooja thali is decorated beautifully and one Diya is lightening in middle and the thali is circled during Aarti song. Then after Aarti thali is given to the devotees. |
