Akira is an upcoming 2016 Indian Action Drama movie directed by AR Murugadoss. The film is the remake of 2011 Tamil film ‘Mouna Guru’ and is produced by AR Murugadoss and Fox Star Studios. The film’s stars Sonakshi Sinha, Konkona Sen Sharma, Anurag Kashyap, Amit Sadh, Raai Laxmi and Shatrughan Sinha.

The film is titled as Akira means for 'graceful strength' in Sanskrit and is the name of Sonakshi's character in the film. Her movie character is a quietly intense and misunderstood girl who is forced to fight back when she is put in a corner.
