E-Bikeathon 2016 in Ahmedabad at CII House - First Electric Vehicle Rally in Gujarat on 17th April

Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Gujarat Knowledge Application & Facilitation Centre (GKAFC) in association with Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation is organizing an E-Bikeathon 2016. E-Bikeathon 2016 is going to held on 17th April 2016, Sunday in Ahmedabad. The venue for the E-Bikeathon 2016 is CII House Ahmedabad.

Gujarat First Electric Vehicle Rally “E-Bikeathon” is organized by CII Gujarat Knowledge Application & Facilitation Centre (GKAFC) on 17th April 2016 at CII House, Ahmedabad. The main objective of E-Bikeathon is to support Green India Mission of Government of India.

The Electric Vehicle Rally is going to held first time in Gujarat Ahmedabad and it will be of 20 Kms. It is the green movement by promoting electric vehicle as a smart & green mode of transport amongst the community. E-Bikeathon would be first of its kind in the state envisaged by CII GKAFC.

OBJECTIVES OF E-BIKEATHON 2016:

Propagating the theme ‘A step towards Smart & Green Mobility Solutions’ and engendering confidence among the community, spreading awareness across all the target user segment about benefits of adopting & using EVs.

To encourage the EV user community to have an on the ground experience and bringing out the synergies between the efforts being made by is the different EV manufacturers by way of showcasing & demonstrating Electric Vehicles (2 Wheelers).

To capture the user perspective about the Electric Vehicle (EV), a feedback will be taken as a part of this drive. To sensitize key decision makers and the industry on the importance of Electric mobility and it’s benefits to society, environment and economy at large.

This unique initiative will not only triggered the green building movement in the State but also put Gujarat on the map in terms of green cities footprint. The drive envisages promoting electrification of automobile transportation to achieve the objectives laid in National Mission for Electric Mobility (NMEM).
