RBI Has Announced New Indian Currency of Rs. 500 and 2000 Notes on 10 November 2016
Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared use of all Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 banknotes is invalid from midnight of the same day and announced the issuing of new Rs. 500 and Rs. 2000 banknotes of the Mahatma Gandhi New Series in exchange for the old banknotes.
RBI has introduced new 2000 rupees note on 10th November 2016. Government announced launched of new notes of 500 and 2000 with some changes like Mahatma Gandhi photo in the middle. This new 2000 rupee note looks pretty decent, It is Purple Color Currency Note.
The Rs. 500 Indian Currency Note is stone Gray Colored, with 66mm by 150mm Dimensions. It has Reverse(From Old 500 Note) side Portrait of Mahatma Gandhi as well as Ashoka Pillar Emblem and Signature of RBI Governor Urjit Patel. The reverse side features a motive of the Indian heritage site of Red Fort, and the logo and a tag line of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
Indian Currency Rs. 2000 Note is Magenta Colored, with 66mm by 166mm Size. It has Obverse side featuring Picture of Mahatma Gandhi as well as the Ashoka Pillar Design with a signature of Reserve Bank of India Governor Urjit Patel. The back Side Features a Logo of the Mangalyaan, India's first interplanetary space mission and a tag line of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
