On 6 January 2017, Om Puri died in Mumbai at his house. Veteran Actor Om Puri died due to heart attack in Morning. Indian actor Om Puri passed away at 66 years age.

Om Prakesh Puri (OBE)  was an Indian actor and was very well known actor in Bollywood Industry. Om Puri has done lots of superhit movies. Om Puri was awarded Padma Shri for the fourth highest civilian award of India in 1990 and an honorary Officer of the Order of the British Empire in 2004.

He acted in Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Punjabi, Telugu and English film. Om Puri won awards best roles for Chachi 420, Aakrosh, Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro, Arohan etc.
