Cycle Tour 2017 in Vadodara - Baroda (Walled City) by Cycle Date and Details
Did you know that Vadodara was a walled city once?
With four gates for entering the city, on the West was the Laheripura Gate, on the North was the Champaner Gate, on the East was the Pani Gate and to the South was the Gendi Gate.
The centre of the Vadodara city had the pavilion called the Mandvi. Nearby was the Old Sarkarwada, the original habitation of the Gaekwads of Vadodara. Some of these historical places are unharmed; some are in history books now!
