Gems & Jewellery Exhibition - Date: 4th-7th January 2013 a Government of Gujarat's Event

Vibrant Gujarat Global Investors Summit (VGGIS) is a biennial summit organized by Gujarat government to attract foreign investment in Gujarat. First VGGIS started in 2003 and 5th VGGIS completed during 12-13 January, 2011.

Vibrant Gujarat 2013 - The 6th Summit aims at -

Innovation, Skill Enhancement, Sustainable Development, Knowledge Creation.

The theme for The Vibrant Gujarat 2013 is - 'Bigger, Better'. The Vibrant Gujarat 2013 Summit is going to be transformational and revolutionary – both in its coverage and scale. It will provide a platform for various states of India and other countries to cooperate and explore attractive business opportunities.

Sparkle International 2013 - A Government of Gujarat Event.

Sparkle International 2013, the Gem and Jewellery Festival is a part of the Vibrant Gujarat program and a prelude to the Vibrant Gujarat event. Organized from 4-7 January 2013 this will be the 4th edition of Sparkle organized by the Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry at Surat.

Currently, the industry is growing at a phenomenal due to the trim forces of and increasing consumer preference. With various government efforts and incentives coupled with private sector initiatives, Indian gems and jewellery sector is expected to grow at a Compound Annual Growth Rate of around 13% during 2011 - 2013.

India possesses world's most competitive gems and jewellery market due to its low cost of production and availability of skilled labor. As per a research “Indian Gems and Jewellery Market Forecast to 2013”, highly skilled and low cost manpower, along with strong government support in the form of incentives and establishment of SEZs, have been the major force for the Indian gems and jewellery market.
