Bollywood Actress Sridevi Wins Best Actress National Award for her Role in Mom

Sridevi was a Bollywood Diva and Film Producer and have worked in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada Movies. Sridevi was First Female Superstar in Bollywood and had played various strong and diverse screenplays. She is one of the most Popular Actresses of Bollywood.

In 2013, Sridevi have received a National Film Award, 2 Filmfare Awards and 3 Filmfare Awards South.  She was awarded with Padma Shri (Fourth Highest Civilian Award), for her Magnificent Contribution to the Entertainment Industry. She has also received honorary awards by State Government of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Kerala.

Sridevi was pronounced dead on 24 February 2018 at her hotel room in Dubai. She had visited Dubai with her youngest daughter, Khushi and her husband Boney Kapoor to attend her nephew’s wedding. Actress was found completely immersed and unresponsive in the bathtub. The investigation revealed cause of death to be accidental drowning.

Sridevi won 65th National Award for her lead role in the Movie Mom. She was honoured with her first ever National Award at a ceremony in New Delhi’s Vigyan Bhawan on Thursday. She played a role of mother seeking revenge for her daughter’s rape.

Janhvi,Khushi and Boney Kapoor collected Sridevi’s best Actress award on behalf of her. They were very happy and proud of Sridevi’s achievement. Janhvi wore one of her mother’s saree and looked phenomenal. Her younger sister chooses to wear Indian lehenga draped like a saree for the ceremony. Whereas Boney Kapoor was formally dressed.
