This place is situated on the banks of holy river Narmada, at a very approachable distance of about 45-50 kilometers from the city of Vadodara. There are a lot many ways to travel including private vehicles, public transport or tourist buses to drive down to Nareshwar and takes around 2 hours to reach.

Nareshwar provides a serene and beautiful ambience with river Narmada flowing by the side and a must visit Ashram of Saint Sant Avadhoot. The ashram is surrounded by lush green cover and houses a beautiful temple of Rang Avadhoot Swami. The Ashram is preserved in the same way as it must have been used during the time when Swamiji was alive, preserving all his work tables, bed, chair and much more. The visitors get to see a very different aspect of life with respect to their busy and hectic city lives.

A replica depicting Kailas Mountain and Mansarovar Lake also adorns the premises and is a feast to watch. The Samadhi of Swami Rang Avadhoot is also a spot to visit for in the ashram area. People enjoy regular meditation and yoga camps being organized in the premises.

The outskirts of the Ashram houses many bookshops and memento shops to keep visitors busy. Children can also enjoy camel and horse rides in this area. The green belt and flowing Narmada makes it a perfect picnic spot where families spread out and enjoy by having a leisurely stroll, chatting, playing games, having good food and taking fun filled dips in Narmada.
