This is Temple of “Shri Kankeshwari Mataji“also known as “Kankai Mata”. It is situated near banks of river Shingavada River. Mandir is in middle of jungle of Gir. Kankai Mata Temple actually is around 20 Km from main Highway. Because it’s situated in forest there are chances of lions and other animals to come in way. Government has tightened rules of entrance and exit.

There is a place near called “ Banej “. There is saying that Banej temple was made thousands of years ago by Pandavas. There is a story that Arjun has made a hole using Bow - arrow. From hole made by Arjun a flow of water comes. People come here and stay here.

If you want to go to Kankai Banej then you have to take care of some rules. You can go in any travelling means which is close from all side. If you are entering from one check point then you have to exit from that check point only. In your way to Kankai Banej and out there comes small rivers you have to be careful in season of rain.
