Heavy Rain in Rajkot on 25th September Night - 2013 Rain Situation

20 Inch Rain in just 12 Hours….in RAJKOT City at GUJARAT, INDIA

We are writing this news on 26th September 2013, around 11.30 am in the dark monsoon morning.

Yesterday night, there was heavy rain fall in Rajkot City. Due to heavy rain few old areas of Rajkot city has suffered a lot. In few locations, water reach in house and flats basement. And hence people need to relocated, to their relatives and families home.

After long time, Rajkot People has seen this kind of Heavy Rain Fall in Rajkot City, again that’s only in few hours.

Actually rain was started around 3 PM on 25th, which was continue till 3 Hours and then it’s again started in night which was very heavy rain with full of wind and finally few Dams and Rivers in and around Rajkot city are overflow.

Main Dam which provides drinking water to the Rajkot City is “Bhadar Dam” located near Gondal Jetpur on the way to Rajkot Gondal Porandar Kandal National Highway 8 ( NH8 ). Bhadar Dam was overflow in the morning that was breaking news in the media and surrounding areas.

Apart from this Bhadar Dam, Nyari Dam on River Nyari, Aji Dam 2 on River Aji also got full water and declared as overflow. Still people are waiting to get latest news for “AJI DAM”. As AJI Dam 1 is main Dam of Rajkot City, Located in out skirt of Rajkot City on the way of Rajkot - Amreli - Bhavnagar Highway.
