| Gir Somnath - A New District in Gujarat State Declared by Modi
Gujarat Chief Minister Mr. Narendra Modi announced Somnath to form a new district of Gujarat. At the Famous Somnath Temple Sagar Khedu Sammelan was held.
In a Speech in “Sagar Khedu Sammelan” Narendra Modi said that Government has taken a decision that there will be a new district named “ Gir Somnath “consisting of 6 Talukas. Narendra Modi quoted there will be a committee formed under Chief Secretary for this purpose.
Existence of new District will be on 26th January 2013 onwards. Inspiring Sagarkhedus CM said that for smaller or bigger problems you now do not have to go to Junagadh. You now have Government administration at your approach.
